Ok. Just to make things clear. We think that even if some Selectmen/Board members sometimes miss the mark in their duties, that they still deserve credit for taking on the job.

Shirley Shimon of the Parks and Rec organized a successful town clean up day. She even arranged to have the Trailhead Wilderness scholars to camp outside the dumpsters!
5/26/04 Design Review Commission member, Mark Reynolds, donated a step ladder to the town so that Merinel could reach the public access camera.

Submitted by a citizen: Mary Sims has been doing an excellent and thorough job of tracking down and helping to fix the problems with all of the non-functioning water meters in town.
Selectman Rick Payne took on the task of overseeing the Road and Bridge department after the resignation of Town Administrator Paul McKenna. He has given the BOS updates on the activities of the department at public meetings. Rick Payne has returned every phone call that any one of us has made to him. He has taken the time to talk to people, about whatever.
Both the town clerk and town attorney went above and beyond the call of duty to meet with Kerry Ann McHugh to retrieve Rose Street documents. Between the two of them, most pertinent docs were found are now available, including an original signed copy of both the Rose Street Phase I contract, the supporting docs to show that Phase 2 was a change order (although there still isn't an actual change order), the bond docs showing that the bond was increased to meet the Phase 2 $209,000 increase, and the original signed (by Kevin Buckley and Paul McKenna) copy of the "missing" contract amendment that allowed for final payment on the condition that work was to be completed in the Spring.
