Save Georgetown Elementary
It appears as though Georgetown Elementary has
been give another reprieve. The community came together and spoke loudly and in unity on this subject. No small feat if you know anything about Georgetown! Currently, a local Charter School effort is under way to prepare for what is sure to be school closures in near future budget years.

What can you do?
Attend the meetings! We will post ALL Georgetown Elementary School closure and Clear Creek School District meetings here. Check back often as there may be "emergency" meetings.

February 23rd (6:00pm-9:00pm) BOE Finalizes Alternatives in District Conference Room-Special Work Session (take note: they did indeed finalize the alternatives at this meeting - taking the option of closing Georgetown Elementary off the list. Public comment was not allowed)
March 1st (4:30pm-6:30pm) Develop Open House Materials & Finalize Open House Meeting Dates-Special Work Session (take note: the board allowed the east-end public to bash our school and community, despite the intent of the meeting to be to develop the open house materials. The agenda did not include - "revisiting the finalized options".)
March 16th (6:00-8:00pm) BOE Reviews Feedback from Open Houses-Special Work Session
March 22nd BOE Board Decision Process-Recommendations for 2005-06 Budget as part of regular Work-Study Session
